Report to: Head of Academy Analysis
Location: Oriam - Scotland's Sports Performance Centre, Edinburgh, EH14 4AS, and away fixture venues.
Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent staff benefits.
Hours: Part time, 12 hours per week to be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the Academy schedule, which includes evenings and weekends.

Heart of Midlothian Football Club, a cornerstone of Scottish football since 1874, is entering an exciting new chapter - and we want you to be part of it. We have an exciting opportunity for an Academy Analyst to work within our Elite Academy. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with an undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis or a related field, who has a high level of tactical understanding and knowledge of football.
Academy Analyst Responsibilities:
- Support with filming of all home academy fixtures, training sessions, presentations, and CPD events, in line with governing body criteria.
- Build and maintain working relationships with other Clubs to ensure sharing of match footage.
- Code relevant filmed fixtures, in line with the academy identity.
- Support with managing our video performance databases and upkeep of Hudl platform administration.
- Provide regular video-based feedback to our squads and individual players.
- Experience, Qualifications & Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis, Sports Science or any other related discipline.
- Postgraduate Degree, or actively working towards, in Performance Analysis, Sports Science or any other related discipline (Desirable).
- Prior experience as an Analyst within a football academy setting (Desirable).
- Full and clean UK driving licence (Desirable).
- Legal Right to Work in the UK.
- Able to commit to working mid-week evenings and weekends, depending on the Academy schedule.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in the use of Hudl Sportscode, iMovie and keynote.
- Confident using Hudl Cameras (Desirable).
- Knowledge and understanding of football.
- Build strong working relationships with coaches and players.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for football and developing players.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
