The University of Glasgow Women’s Hockey Club is looking for a new Head Coach to lead our performance squads.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong technical & tactical hockey knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills (especially under pressure)

  • Organised, reliable, and a great team player

  • Experience developing young or inexperienced players

  • Ability to coach across different skill levels

  • Committed to continuous professional development

  • Scottish / FIH Level 2 Coaching Qualification(or working towards it)

  • Experience at National League level (or equivalent)

  • First Aid trained

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead weekly training for Women’s Performance squads

  • Manage squad selection & matchday line-ups

  • Plan and deliver high-performance training sessions

  • Analyse performance (including video analysis)

  • Deliver and oversee pre-season from August 2026

  • Collaborate with staff, coaches & club committee

  • Engage in CPD and development opportunities
