Report to Grounds Manager
Location Tynecastle Park, Macleod Street, Edinburgh, EH11 2NL & Oriam - Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre, Edinburgh, EH14 4AS.
Salary Competitive salary plus excellent employee benefits.
Hours Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Worked flexibly depending on the weekly fixture schedule which will include midweek evenings and weekends.

Heart of Midlothian FC have an exciting opportunity for a Pitch Operations Assistant to join the Clubs experienced Stadium and Facilities team. The role supports the Grounds Team with pitch maintenance and grounds improvements at the Clubs stadium and training facilities, ensuring playing surfaces are to the highest possible standard. Key Responsibilities:
Support the Grounds Team in ensuring the playing surfaces and surrounding areas at both Tynecastle Park, and the Clubs training facility are prepared to the highest possible standard for matches, training sessions and events.
Take required action to ensure matches go ahead as scheduled where weather or other factors effect the standard of the playing surface.
Maintain machinery to a safe and adequate standard in accordance with operating requirements.
Adhere to Health and Safety requirements as per the Company policy.
Any other general maintenance duties as required by the Grounds Manager or the Stadium Manager.
Essential Experience, Qualifications & Requirements:
Previous experience within a similar role, preferably within a professional sport environment.
SVQ/GMA Level 2 or related experience.
Previous experience of hybrid pitch systems.
Pesticide certification such as PA1, 2, or 6 (or working towards).
Valid UK driving licence.
Able to evidence the legal right to work in the UK.

Able to work within a pressurised environment.
Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Willing to work at either site when deemed necessary by the Grounds Manager.
Flexibility with weekly working patterns.
