NextGen Academy Support Coaches: Boroughmuir Thistle

Voluntary role for UEFA C Level Coaches.

Boroughmuir Thistle is seeking Academy Support Coaches to work within our NextGenAcademy Programme to support the development of our elite female athletes.

BTFC is the largest female football club in Scotland with a full pathway for both participation and performance players. Our NextGen Academy Programme supports U13, U15 & U17 squads that compete at the highest level of competitive youth football in Scotland.

The role involves supporting the planning, delivery and reflection of training sessions, taking an active role in the training, matchday & analysis process.

They will be encouraged to actively contribute their ideas to our Academy Playing and Training principles.

This is a voluntary role and the ideal candidates will possess or be working towards the UEFA C level qualification. Experience in the female game is desirable, a passion for developing elite female footballers is essential.

We are looking for:

  • A visible enthusiasm for the game and desire to implement modern, progressive coaching ideas
  • Ability to build positive connections with people and to create a positive and enjoyable learning environment
  • Desire to work with players as individuals to help develop skilled, creative and confident footballers
  • A willing learner who wants to develop their ideas and coaching skills in a competitive, performance level environment
