Location: Edinburgh
Weekly Commitment: Tuesday and Thursday evenings in addition to a Sunday matchday.
Reporting to: Girls and Women’s’ Section Lead.
The role:
HCF Women are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and committed coach to lead our Community Women’s Team for the upcoming 26/27 season.
After a successful first season competing in the SWFL East League, we’re looking to build on that momentum and take the squad to the next level this year.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about player development, can create a positive environment, and is keen to be part of a developing squad.
This voluntary role is ideal for a coach looking to gain experience within a structured club environment while making a meaningful impact in the women's game.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver structured, engaging, and inclusive coaching sessions.
Lead on matchdays, taking charge of pre-game preparation, and in game management of the squad.
Evaluate team performance, delivering clear and constructive technical guidance to the squad.
Drive additional player recruitment and talent identification to build a competitive, well-balanced squad.
Develop a positive team culture having positive relationships build on mutual trust and respect with the players.
What we desire:
Strong commitment to the team and club.
Minimum of 1.3 SFA coaching qualification desirable.
Ability to plan, organise and deliver structured coaching sessions.
Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous coaching experience desirable
Relevant coaching qualifications or working toward are advantageous
Required:
Attendance at two evening training sessions per week within Edinburgh.
Availability for Sunday matchdays home matches in Edinburgh but travel for away matches is required.
Willingness to engage in occasional club CPD sessions.

Safeguarding
