We are seeking to recruit additional Goalkeeping Coaches to support the development of both NextGen Academy and Regional Academy goalkeepers.
This is an exciting, paid role that offers an opportunity for an enthusiastic coach to make a significant impact to the development of youth goalkeepers at a forward thinking, inclusive football club. The selected candidate will work across all age groups within the regional programme and the NextGen Academy pathway, with potential to advance into a Head of Goalkeeping role in the future.
The main time commitment for the role will be 8 hours a week with training on a Tuesday and Thursday evening and supporting NextGen Academy fixtures on the weekend.
Role & Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging and detailed coaching sessions in line with the club
goalkeeping curriculum, ensuring player safety is maintained.Provide warm up support and match day feedback to goalkeepers during NextGen
fixturesCollaborate with goalkeeping and wider coaching staff to enhance the delivery of the
coaching curriculumContribute to individual development plans for the goalkeepers in our pathway
Work closely with the Head of Goalkeeping, Academy Manager and 1st Team
Manager to ensure goalkeeping development aligns with the wider club curriculum,
implementing the appropriate game model and principles of playAttend Goalkeeping department and wider academy meetings and CPD
opportunities to ensure personal knowledge is developed and refined.
Experience
In lieu of previous coaching experience, playing experience will also be considered as a suitable equivalent if accompanied by appropriate coaching education. Experience working within womens and girls academy football would also be highly desirable.
Qualifications
SFA Goalkeeping Award (desirable)
SFA Goalkeeping Certificate (essential)
Hold or willing to undertake PVG disclosure, Safeguarding and First Aid training where appropriate to fulfil demands of the role
