Development Officer (Community): Scottish Volleyball

Contract type: Full-time, 12 months fixed term. (3-month probationary period)

Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum, dependant on skills and experience.

Location: Scottish Volleyball, 48 Pleasance, Edinburgh, EH8 9TJ. This role will be based at the designated office with potential of agreed remote/hybrid working.

Reports to: Head of Development.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week.

Scottish Volleyball, in partnership sportscotland, is seeking to recruit a Development Officer (Community) to deliver on the Strategic Plan “We Are Volleyball” 2023-2027 in communities around Scotland.

The successful candidate will share our passion and vision for the growth and development of volleyball in Scotland. The appointed person will be required to demonstrate a proven record of successfully working in community sports and a sound understanding of the Scottish sporting landscape. Experience of working with athletes with disabilities would also be advantageous for this role. Knowledge required for the role includes coaching, project delivery, IT, partnership working, planning, and excellent communications.

This post is initially offered on a 12 month fixed term contract. Subsequent funding for a continuation of the role will be based on external investment and performance review.
