sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland. Our vision is an active Scotland where everyone benefits from sport. Our goal is to be inclusive by design.

Are you passionate about helping people use data and research to make better decisions?

Do you want to apply your research skills to help the people of Scotland get the most from the sporting system?

sportscotland is currently looking for a Research Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of research and evaluation that helps inform decision making across sportscotland and the wider sport sector. You'll work closely with colleagues and external partners to identify research needs, undertake research projects and share findings that support continuous improvement.

You will have skills and experience in both quantitative and qualitative research, along with the ability to analyse and interpret information from a range of sources. Research is only valuable if people can understand and use it, so you'll need strong communication skills and the ability to present findings to a variety of audiences.

You'll be part of a small research team delivering sportscotland's research plan. This includes monitoring and evaluation, undertaking research and analysis, developing research tools, supporting research projects and contributing to the dissemination of research findings across the sport sector.

We operate a hybrid working model, and you'll be expected to work from our Glasgow office a minimum of two days each week.

* Please note successful candidates will be appointed at the entry point of the salary band.
