Basketball Scotland is recruiting a new Workforce Education & Development Manager to lead the development of the people who deliver our sport across Scotland.
As basketball continues to grow, we want to ensure the coaches, officials, tutors, educators and volunteers who make the game possible have access to high-quality learning, development opportunities and clear pathways to help them progress.
The new role has been created as part of a wider evolution of our approach to people and talent development, providing dedicated leadership and focus to workforce education and development.
Reporting to the Head of Performance & Pathway Development, the successful candidate will lead Basketball Scotland's national approach to workforce education, including coach and official education, learning and development programmes, workforce pathways and the development of tutors, assessors and educators.
A key focus will be reviewing and modernising how learning is designed and delivered, including developing clearer pathways, strengthening continuous professional development and making greater use of digital and blended learning.
The Workforce Education & Development Manager will also work closely with clubs, regional associations and partners including sportscotland, FIBA, the Home Country Associations, UK Coaching and education providers.
Basketball experience is not essential. We welcome applications from people with relevant experience across sport, education, learning, workforce development and other sectors who share our commitment to developing people and creating positive experiences through sport.

Salary: £32,500–£35,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Hybrid – Edinburgh office with travel throughout Scotland
