Salary: £41,423 - £44,899 per annum

High Life Highland is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Development Officer (Clubs & Communities) to play a key role in strengthening the sporting landscape across Highland. This exciting opportunity will see you work directly with sports clubs, volunteers, coaches and community organisations to help create stronger, more sustainable, inclusive and successful clubs.

As Sports Development Officer (Clubs & Communities), you will support sports clubs throughout Highland to develop their governance, sustainability, volunteer workforce and community impact.

Working as part of High Life Highland's Sports Development Team, you will collaborate with a wide range of partners including Community Sport Hubs, Active Schools, National Governing Bodies, leisure centres, schools and third-sector organisations to improve sporting opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting clubs to become stronger, safer, more sustainable and inclusive organisations.

  • Developing effective relationships with club committees, volunteers and coaches.

  • Assisting clubs with governance, constitutions, policies and succession planning.

  • Supporting volunteer recruitment, development, retention and recognition.

  • Identifying training and development opportunities for volunteers and coaches.

  • Helping clubs access funding opportunities and improve financial sustainability.

  • Supporting Community Sport Hubs and collaborative partnership working.

  • Monitoring impact and reporting outcomes through participation and EDI data.

  • Promoting clubs through marketing, communications and digital platforms.

  • Contributing to the delivery of Highland's Sports Development Plan.

Hours: 35 hours per week.
