Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Status: Permanent full-time role with some occasional evening/weekend work
Location: Scottish Gymnastics, Craiglockhart Tennis and Leisure Centre, Edinburgh
Hybrid working: minimum of two days in the office per week, three days remote if home office set up is suitable for regular home working after the initial induction period.
Our lead manager for events leads the strategic direction for the events team to deliver an uplifting gymnastics experience through championships, competitions and showcase events for the Scottish Gymnastics community. The role holder will manage and deliver a successful programme of 30+ events annually. Ensuring effective relationship management with key stakeholders to deliver high-quality events to our members.
Scottish Gymnastics is the governing body responsible for all levels of gymnastics activity in Scotland. The role holder will directly manage the events, logistics and facility manager and two events administrators along with a network of contractors who support both the planning and delivery of the Scottish Gymnastics events programme. Leading and managing people and the ability to develop strong, effective relationships with the gymnastics community is key.
As lead manager for events, you will have demonstrable knowledge and experience in project and events management, budget management, event governance, operational planning, funding bids, and managing multi-disciplinary freelance event teams. A prior knowledge of gymnastics would be advantageous.
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory PVG scheme membership.
