Lead Manager Performance and Pathway: Scottish Gymnastics

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000
Status: Permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday with some occasional evening/weekend work
Location: Scottish Gymnastics, Craiglockhart Tennis and Leisure Centre, Edinburgh
Hybrid working: minimum of two days in the office per week, three days remote if home office set up is suitable for regular home working after the initial induction period.

Can you create a culture that puts athletes at the centre of what we do, through cohesive and collaborative ways of working with bespoke discipline technical support teams and wrap around services. This role will lead the strategic direction for the performance and pathway team to deliver a ‘high support high challenge’ environment 

Scottish Gymnastics is the governing body responsible for all levels of gymnastics activity in Scotland. We want a lead manager for performance and pathway to further enhance the infrastructure of the department. Scottish Gymnastics has been building the performance and pathway system for the last nine years to offer a full pathway for all eight competitive disciplines in Scotland, with over 300 gymnasts plus personal coaches being supported in our programmes; the ultimate goal is to support our athletes to excel at the highest level whilst having a great experience in the sport. 

Scottish Gymnasts plays a crucial role in the British Gymnastics performance system to ensure we lift the standards of Scottish gymnasts to ultimately represent Great Britain in their respective disciplines. 

We are looking for someone with high levels of experience working in the performance system, either as a coach, practitioner, performance sport administration, with high levels of integrity, drive, enthusiasm, and initiative.

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory PVG scheme membership. 

If you have a proven ability to lead and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary support team and can ensure that performance support services achieve maximum impact and are fully aligned to all activity across the performance pathway through programme design and delivery, individual athlete planning and data benchmarking, we look forward to hearing from you.
