Club Development Officer: Triathlon Scotland

Edinburgh Road Club is seeking a Club Development Officer to work across cycling and triathlon activities to help create a stronger, more sustainable and inclusive club with a growing and more diverse membership.

The position will involve working with Edinburgh Road Club Triathlon to launch a junior triathlon section and will include hands-on delivery of coached sessions, as well as the development of a junior coaching framework and volunteer workforce.

The role will also focus on building partnerships with local schools, tertiary education establishments and other community groups to encourage wider participation in cycling and triathlon.

The final part of the role is to provide assistance with the planning, organisation and delivery of some of the races and events in our extensive programme.

The successful candidate will support the club to:

  • Establish a sustainable junior triathlon section

  • Increase participation among under-represented groups

  • Improve retention of young people transitioning into adult participation

  • Develop volunteer coaching capacity

  • Strengthen the sustainability of club events

Status: 2 years fixed term

Salary: £24,180 (pro rata to 30hrs per week)

Location: Edinburgh, with travel
