Location: Lasswade High School Centre, Gymnastics Academy, Eskdale Drive, Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, EH19 2LA - located on the outskirts of Edinburgh, approximately 8 miles from Edinburgh city centre.
Lasswade Gymnastics Club is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Men's Artistic Level 2 Coach (will consider L1) to join our team and help grow our Men's Artistic Section. This role is perfect for someone passionate about coaching gymnasts competing at Elite & Club Grades levels.
Salary: Direct Coaching rate is £13.36-£15.58 per hour dependant on Qualification Level.
Contract: Part-time Permanent Employment. This is an Employed post, which provides 5.6 Weeks of Annual Leave, Pension and funding for CPD opportunities and coaching qualifications
Hours: 12+ Hours Per Week initially with opportunities to grow
Schedule: Flexible hours within our programme, which runs Tuesday to Thursday evenings, Friday afternoon/evening, and all-day Sunday.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging coaching sessions for gymnasts to the level of qualification.
- Develop progressive session plans for the short- and long-term development of the gymnasts.
- Attend competitions and events as required.
Person Specification:
- Minimum of Level 2 coaching qualification in Men's Artistic, with a commitment to progress towards Level 3. Will consider a Level 1 coach with a commitment to progress towards Level 2 Men's Artistic.
- Current Safeguarding and Protecting Children Certificate, and PVG.
- Value and prioritise gymnasts' happiness and well-being, while motivating and encouraging gymnasts to achieve new skills.
- Knowledge and experience of the current MAG Pathways.
- Passion for coaching gymnasts on the club / elite competitive pathways.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, and individually.
