Full Time, Fixed Term Contract (August 2026 to April 2027)
£27,319 per year (pro-rata)
Are you passionate about student sport and creating opportunities for students to thrive? We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Sports Co-ordinator to support the growth and success of our vibrant sports community on the Glasgow Campus.
Working within the Students' Association, you'll play a key role in supporting sports clubs, empowering student volunteers, coordinating fixtures, and helping to deliver an outstanding extracurricular experience for students. You should have experience of volunteering within a sports club or leading a sports team, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing student sport. A relevant degree, qualifications or certifications in sport is an advantage but not essential. You should have a positive, welcoming and can-do attitude.
This fixed-term role until April 2027 has been created to provide additional capacity while we work in partnership with the University to develop a new joint Sports Strategy.
We are interested in capable employees of any age and welcome applications from people from a range of backgrounds, to reflect the diversity of our members. We want to foster a diverse and inclusive working environment. This role is suitable for a recent graduate.
Employees receive 46 days annual leave (that includes bank holidays) per year and we have other enhanced benefits and policies to support employee wellbeing, care responsibilities and flexible working. You may work from home at least one day per week during teaching weeks and two days outside of teaching weeks.
Read our Mission, Vision and Values, Governance and Democracy Structure and Competency Framework from our website to better understand us, the behaviours we seek and how we operate as a student-led organisation.
To apply please submit your Application Form and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form (from our website) to hello@GCUstudents.co.uk by Tuesday 21st July at 12noon. The anticipated interview date is Wednesday 5th August 2026 on the Glasgow Campus. An immediate start is available.
