At the sportscotland institute of sport, we are seeking a Performance Psychologist (Level 2) to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed psychological support within Scotland's high-performance sport system. Working with colleagues and partners at national and regional level, you will help athletes, coaches and performance leads to enhance performance and development through effective psychological support.

As a member of the Performance Psychology team, you will provide applied support to prioritised athletes, coaches and performance environments. You will contribute to multidisciplinary planning and delivery, communicate priorities and support plans with key stakeholders, contribute to sport review processes, and help monitor and evaluate the impact of support. You will also contribute to the ongoing development and quality of Performance Psychology provision.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a PhD or master's degree with a major focus in sport psychology, be BPS/CASES accredited, hold high-performance sport accreditation (or equivalent), and be registered with the HCPC. You will bring significant experience as a Performance Psychology practitioner in high-performance sport, working with athletes, coaches and multidisciplinary teams across a range of sports. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of holistic performance support, including positive mental health, wellbeing and welfare, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-informed practice.

This is a full-time post involving a blend of home working and travel across the Scottish performance system. A full driving licence and the ability to travel independently between sportscotland sites are essential. You will maintain accurate and secure athlete and service records in line with professional standards and engage in continuing professional development to support service delivery, athlete outcomes and system priorities.

* Please note successful candidates will be appointed at the entry point of the salary band.
