Working closely with the Club Secretary, Council Members and Club Sections, you will help ensure the efficient administration of the club, maintain accurate records, support competitions and handicapping activities, and contribute to the high standard of service our members value and enjoy.

The ideal candidate will bring excellent administrative and financial skills, attention to detail and a genuine interest in supporting a busy and successful members' golf club.

What you would be doing

  • Deliver a welcoming and efficient membership experience, supporting members throughout the year and serving as a helpful point of contact.

  • Undertake regular bank reconciliations for cash and card.

  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts and payments.

  • Manage suppliers’ invoices and payments.

  • Payroll administration.

  • Monthly reporting of P&L vs budget with recommendations.

  • Assist with financial reporting and provide information to the Club Secretary or Treasurer as required.

3. Golf Competitions and Handicapping

  • Assist with the administration and organisation of mixed club competitions.

  • When required by the sections, Council or Club Secretary, set up competitions using ClubV1 software and help with queries on how to set-up.

  • Responsible for ClubV1 system and tee-sheet availability update.

What we offer

A professional yet relaxed working environment, continuous learning and a strong sense of community. As a members' club, we take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere for both our members and staff, and we encourage positive working relationships across all areas of club life.

The role is based on 16 hours per week, with flexibility around how those hours are worked. We are open to discussing a working pattern that suits both the successful candidate and the needs of the club, although the hours should be spread across a minimum of three days per week.

As with many roles within a busy golf club, some flexibility is required throughout the year. There may be periods of increased activity, particularly during the annual membership renewal process and the main golfing season.

Occasional weekend working may also be required to support club competitions, major events and member activities.

In addition to joining a friendly and supportive team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of club membership, including access to tee times and the chance to play and enjoy the course. We believe this helps foster a stronger connection with our members, our club culture and the game itself.

The interview Process

After the closing date, candidates who meet the requirements will be invited to a first interview during the week commencing 23 November.

The shortlisted candidates will then be invited to a second and final interview, ideally on 30 November. This interview might include a task.

Please note that these dates may change depending on interviewer availability.
