The role

A Girls' Academy Coach will deliver a high standard of coaching and management of the Rangers Girls’ Academy players, creating a positive environment and contributing to the execution of the Girls’ Academy Vision at Rangers Football Club.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver academy sessions in conjunction with the club’s methodology
  • Plan, deliver and review all sessions to ensure the highest standard of coaching is maintained
  • To ensure IPTs are set for all players within your squad
  • Design and implement all components of the football methodology
  • Ensure this curriculum is relevant to all aspects of the game model
  • Working closely with the Academy Manager to ensure the wellbeing of players is paramount
  • Ensure that each player in your squad is viewed as an individual project by implementing management protocols and reviews designed to maximise the potential of individuals
  • Motivate and challenge all players in your care
  • Participate in the Girls’ Academy management meeting when required
  • Support the implementation of Rangers’ performance coaching culture
  • Maintain a working knowledge of best practice in player development
  • Ensure all admin duties such as Sport Office and Player Reports are all completed in a timely fashion

The candidate

Education and Qualifications:

  • UEFA B licence

The candidate attributes include:

  • Confident individual with good presence, engaging personality and profile with the ability to be self-composed and patient in all situations
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, along with very good interpersonal skills, administration, and organisational skills
  • Excellent IT skills including all Microsoft packages, sports office, and analysis software
  • An engaging, innovative individual with an ability to captivate and motivate staff and players
  • An ability to multi-task and must understand the range of functions which make an academy and high-performance environment
  • Must have a desire to learn and display a growth mindset
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
