About the Roles

scottishathletics is seeking to appoint the following roles to the Track & Field Commission (TFC):

  • Secretary

  • Club representative

  • Coach representative

  • Athlete representative

  • Young athlete representative

The TFC is a key part of the agreed sub-structure of the Scottish Athletics Ltd Board and is one of four commissions supporting the delivery of the sport and the organisations strategy, Building a Culture of Success (2023-2027).

The TFC has overall responsibility for the planning, delivery and review of all track and field activities delivered by scottishathletics.The full responsibilities of the TFC are set out in the Terms of Reference. The Commission is chaired by the TFC Convenor, Diane Ramsay, who is also a member of the Scottish Athletics Ltd Board. The Commission is expected to meet up to four times per year. Meetings will mainly be held online, however, in agreement with the Commission face-to-face meetings may be held on occasion.

This is a voluntary position, however, expenses for travel will be met by scottishathletics at the standard volunteer rate.

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate volunteers with a keen interest in supporting the development of track and field in Scotland.

You will require a good knowledge of track and field in Scotland with an understanding of the club environment, the competition structure and the representative opportunities for athletes.
