The Pars Foundation wishes to recruit a Football Development Officer. This is a great opportunity for a skilled, professional, committed, and creative individual who wishes to join our expanding community team.
Our successful candidate will lead on a variety of progressive Community initiatives while supporting the overall delivery of our Football Programme within the Foundation.

Location: KDM East End Park
Contract: Full time (37.5 Hours per week) Flexibility is expected and due to the nature of the post some evening and weekend work will be necessary.
Salary: £24-26K
Job Purpose:
The Football Development Officer will be responsible for the growth and development of several key Community Football projects within our programme as well as supporting the overall delivery of our entire provision. A key component of this role will also be to lead a section of our Community Club - Dunfermline Athletic Community Club ensuring growth and progression across their section.

Role & Responsibilities
Note: The role responsibilities attached to this post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed;
- To lead on several Community Football Programmes including but not limited to; Dribblers, Mini Kickers, Soccer Centres, Girls' Only Centres, Position Specific and Holiday Camps.
- To support the development and evolution of Dunfermline Athletic Community Club building strong relationships with players, parents, sponsors and other stakeholders and completing operational tasks liaising with the administrative assistant.
- Implement a comprehensive coaching curriculum for a variety of Community Football Programmes.
- Provide key support on recruitment of new coaches within both the Community Football Programme and Community Club system.
- Promote each of the Pars Foundations strategic pillars.
- Meet KPI's as set by management/funders and or partners.
- Complete all necessary monitoring, evaluation forms as required
- Regularly identify and share good news stories and case studies to celebrate participant achievements and project impact.
- Champion best practice linked to the Foundation's policies and procedures, particularly Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety to provide the best environment for participants.
- Maintain and manage all Community Football kit and equipment, ensuring we create the highest standards possible within all our programmes.
- Support the implementation and delivery of a progressive coach development framework
- Work to agreed budgets, develop new and existing funding streams and deliver fundraising activities to support the development of DACC.
- Organise and manage events under The Pars Foundation banner as agreed with management.
- Pro-actively participate in training and development opportunities, staff performance appraisals and reviews as required
- Developing a recreational offering for children's age groups
- Undertake all other tasks as deemed by the Football Development Manager as necessary to the successful operation of the Pars Foundation, including but not limited to supporting with the delivery of other projects
Education / Qualifications Essential
- UEFA 'C' Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to update)
- Current Safeguarding Certificate (or willingness to update)
Education / Qualifications Desirable
- UEFA Grassroots Leader Award
- HNC/HND in Sports Coaching & Development or above
- Mental Health First Aid Certificate
Knowledge & Experience Essential
- Experience working within a football club or football foundation and proven track record delivering Community Football programmes.
- Experience providing excellent customer service
- Experience of promoting programmes and experience of programme delivery and project coordination
- Experience of working towards performance targets
- Knowledge of the positive impacts of engaging within football and sport
- Experience of writing development plans, work programmes and reports
- Significant knowledge of grassroots planning
Knowledge & Experience Desirable
- Experience of managing or supervising staff/volunteers
- A proven understanding of the SPFL Trust and the Pars Foundations strategic aims and objectives
- Practical experience of managing information operating systems, including monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance frameworks.
