North East Football Academy provides holiday football camps for children in Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City. Our organisation and camps are based on five values; safety, fun & enjoyment, valuing all individuals, inclusive & welcoming and affordability.
We are seeking to recruit for the position of Coach in order to add to our established team of staff.

Prerequisites
- holds, or is working towards, a minimum of 1.1 SFA coaching certificate or other relevant qualification
- has a minimum of 1 year experience of working with children in a leadership capacity
- has completed the SFA child wellbeing and safeguarding course
- has the ability to travel to camps across Aberdeenshire
- possesses a positive mentality and approachable personality that attendees can feel comfortable working with
- possesses excellent time keeping and organisation skills
- possesses ability and confidence in managing large groups
Responsibilities
- work with Lead Coaches or NEFA Management staff to assume responsibility for groups of children attending each camp
- assist in planning, leading and evaluating fun, safe, inclusive and engaging coaching sessions with the relevant age group
- lead coaching sessions and assume responsibility for groups as directed by Lead Coaches or NEFA Management
- work as directed by Lead Coaches or NEFA Management in order to ensure the safety of all group members
- be willing to learn and gain experience and advice from Lead Coaches or NEFA Management staff
- ensure all NEFA policies, risk assessments and safe practices are followed at all times
- create a positive and encouraging environment in which group members are inspired to participate
- ensure all participants are kept safe in line with NEFA policies, including traveling between onsite facilities (eg, changing rooms to playing facilities)
- ensure all kit and equipment is kept safe and tidy throughout each day of camp
- other relevant duties as directed by Lead Coaches or NEFA Management
- successful applicants will have access to CPD and development opportunities where deemed appropriate
Successful candidates will be required to complete PVG and background checks along with providing a minimum of one reference. NEFA reserve the right to recruit staff prior to the closing date. Interviews will be held either virtually or in person and may include a practical coaching element.
