Match analyst: Deveronvale Football Club

Deveronvale Football Club, a proud member of the Highland Football League (Tier 5 in the 
Scottish Football Pyramid), is seeking to recruit a Match Analyst to support our First Team 
Management Team. The Match Analyst will work closely with the Management Team as 
part of the Performance Analysis of our First Team Squad. This is a voluntary role initially, 
with expenses covered and the potential for review in the future. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Analyse Matchday Video footage (Veo) to gather, interpret, and present data on first
    team matches evaluating player performances and team strategies. 
  • Present detailed findings in graphical form or through video and still-frame 
    presentations to the Management Team and playing squad highlighting key statistics 
    & areas for improvement. 
  • Provide insights to aid performance analysis, tactical planning, and player development. 
  • Duties may be completed remotely and pre-recorded, but in-person analysis and 
    presentations are preferred. 
  • Collaborate with coaches to develop training programmes based on analytical 
    findings. 

Ideal Candidate: 

  • Experience/knowledge in football or sports analysis is advantageous. 
  • May suit a student looking to gain valuable experience in the sports industry. 
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in analysis software are required. 
  • Strong understanding of football tactics, formations, and player dynamics. 
  • Ability to analyse in game footage, have an eye for detail and provide insightful feedback. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to present to groups. 
  • A passion for football and a commitment to continuous learning in the field.
