School of Football Coach (Part-Time, Term-Time) - ProScore Academy

Location: Alva Academy, Clackmannanshire

About the Role:

ProScore Academy is looking to appoint a motivated, empathetic and high-quality coach to lead the delivery of our School of Football programme at Alva Academy. This part-time role is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about using football to positively shape the lives of young people - on and off the pitch.

The programme involves two distinct groups: one for S1/S2 boys and one for S1/S2 girls. Sessions are delivered during the school day and are complemented by a wider mentorship approach, offering pupils support in their behaviour, confidence, and personal growth.

The successful candidate will deliver weekly sessions, provide individual mentorship, collaborate with school staff, and act as a key role model in the lives of the participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead weekly School of Football sessions for two groups (one boys' group, one girls' group)
  • Plan and deliver sessions that are engaging, challenging, and tailored to the players' age and stage
  • Promote life skills and positive behaviours through football
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and act as a trusted mentor
  • Liaise with school staff to provide updates and ensure consistent standards are upheld
  • Foster a positive team culture aligned with ProScore's core philosophy: Person First, Player Second

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience coaching or mentoring young people (particularly 11-14 age group)
  • Ability to lead age-appropriate and inclusive football sessions
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, confident presence in a school setting
  • Must be available during the school day on 2 weekdays (term-time only)
  • Full PVG (or willing to obtain)
  • Reliable transport to Alva Academy

Desirable Criteria:

  • UEFA B/Youth B/Advanced Children's Licence (or working towards)
  • Previous experience delivering in a school setting
  • Experience supporting pupils with behavioural, social or emotional needs
  • Understanding of long-term player development principles
