Freelance Futsal Coach

Hourly Rate of Pay £17-£22.50

Location University of Glasgow Sport Stevenson Building

Hours   1300-1600 on designated Mondays during University of Glasgow Academic Terms

Role Requirements

University of Glasgow Sport are seeking to appoint freelance Futsal Coaches to support the implementation of Beginner and Intermediate Futsal Programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working independently to deliver futsal sessions to a range of abilities
  • Ensure a safe learning environment is provided for all participants
  • Act as a positive role model to deliver the best possible experience for members
  • Provide excellent customer service to all members within the programme
  • Reporting regularly to the Sport Development Coordinator regarding participant progress and attendance

Required Certification  

  • SFA Coaching Futsal Level 1.2. National Futsal Course Certification (or equivalent)
  • Other qualifications may be considered if they are comparable to the above
  • Personal Accident Insurance, with a minimum of £5 million cover.

Essential Experience

  • Experience and knowledge of working with adults in a group futsal environment
  • Motivated and innovative person who is passionate about coaching adults
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to adapt and have a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of planning and developing programmes to develop the skills of participants
  • Experience of organising futsal leagues and games.
