Safeguarding Compliance Advisor: Scottish Rugby

Salary: £31,000 - £33,000

Location: Scottish Gas Murrayfield, Edinburgh, EH12 5PJ

Join Scottish Rugby as our Safeguarding Compliance Advisor and play a key role in ensuring robust safeguarding standards across the organisation. This vital position focuses on policy implementation, safe recruitment, PVG scheme compliance, and continuous improvement of safeguarding practices for both children and adults.

What you will be doing:  

  • Lead and maintain safeguarding standards by developing and reviewing policies, procedures, risk assessments, and resources, while promoting a culture of compliance across all levels of rugby.
  • Support and equip clubs and staff through onboarding, training, and the provision of up-to-date safeguarding tools, templates, and guidance for both child and adult protection.
  • Monitor, report, and collaborate on safeguarding compliance by auditing clubs, producing reports, and working with internal teams and external bodies to ensure alignment with national standards.

  • Passionate about safeguarding, with a strong commitment to creating safe environments for children and adults across rugby.
  • Detail-oriented and organised, able to manage compliance processes, audits, and reporting with accuracy and consistency.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, support volunteers, and collaborate effectively across departments and external partners.
