Salary: £26,000 - £30,000

Location: Perth, Scotland with occasional Work from home (with international travel to World Curling events potentially required).

Hours: Full-time (Some Irregular working hours-including weekends-during Events will be required). This role may require travel to international curling events.

About World Curling:

World Curling is the international sport federation governing the Olympic winter sport of curling and the Paralympic winter sport of wheelchair curling. World Curling is one of seven International Federations currently part of the Olympic Winter Games programme.

World Curling is a Swiss registered company with its administrative office in Perth, Scotland.

Position Overview:

World Curling is seeking a motivated individual to be part of their Operations team in a new role focussing on the delivery of member services. These include the management of the Development Assistance Programme, maintenance of the membership categorisation questionnaire and database and dealing with membership enquiries.

The role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders including The Foundation for Global Sports Development and the World Curling Member Associations.

Main Deliverables

The role offers the opportunity to be involved with all aspects of the delivery of development and education within the sport. The tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight and management of the Development Assistance Programme
  • Updating and management of the Annual Membership Questionnaire
  • Maintenance of the Member Association Category database
  • Dealing with new Member enquiries
  • Working with the Equipment Officer on enquiries for Deferred Payment Scheme applications for Stones and Ice equipment
  • Management of the Olympic Celebration Tour programme with the Education Services Officer
  • Any other tasks identified by the Chief Operating Officer

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • 3+ years' experience in a membership type organisation whether online or in person
  • Experience of surveys and data collection
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Capable of working to deadlines and balancing multiple tasks at one time
  • Permission to work in the UK
  • Thrives in small, multi-cultural teams

Desirable

  • Knowledge of data analysis and production of reports from databases
  • Passion for sport and an understanding or interest of curling
  • Can speak more than one language (English essential)
  • Educated to degree level
