About Us
At ProScore Academy, we use football as a tool for transformation - building confident, resilient young people both on and off the pitch. Our motto, "Person First, Player Second", underpins everything we do. From 1-to-1 coaching and community programmes to our flagship School of Football partnerships, we aim to create an environment where every player is treated as an individual project - with care, challenge and high standards.
As we grow, we're looking to appoint a Head of Coaching to join our senior leadership team. This role will provide direct coaching delivery, oversee the development of our coaching staff, and ensure quality, consistency and progression across our full coaching provision.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding role for an experienced coach who thrives in a leadership position and wants to play a meaningful part in shaping a youth development environment. The successful candidate will:
Coaching & Delivery
- Deliver high-quality football sessions including 1-to-1s, small groups and team sessions.
- Lead our School of Football programmes.
- Work closely with young players aged 6-18, across a range of contexts including mainstream, ASN and disengaged pupils.
Leadership & Staff Development
- Oversee the development and performance of our coaching team.
- Deliver mentoring, on-field support, and regular feedback to ensure a consistent, high-quality player experience.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of new staff alongside the Director.
- Collaborate with the Operations Lead to manage rotas and scheduling.
Curriculum & Quality Assurance
- Formalise and evolve our coaching curriculums and long-term development frameworks.
- Ensure sessions across the organisation reflect our philosophy, standards and developmental goals.
- Uphold a strong culture of care, professionalism and attention to detail in all sessions delivered under the ProScore banner.
Who We're Looking For
You're a strong communicator who can inspire players and staff alike. You're driven by impact and see football as more than just a game - it's a tool for growth. You thrive in a leadership setting but aren't afraid to get stuck in on the pitch. You're well-organised, values-led, and serious about standards.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience coaching young players across multiple age groups.
- Passion for holistic player development.
- Confident leading and mentoring other coaches.
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality sessions independently.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Available to work a varied schedule including evenings and school hours.
Desirable
- UEFA C Licence or Children's Licence (or working towards).
- Experience delivering or leading school-based coaching programmes.
- Knowledge of curriculum design and player development frameworks.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly rate with scope for additional responsibilities.
- Flexibility and autonomy within a values-driven organisation.
- A key leadership role with room to shape and grow a nationally recognised development model.
- Supportive leadership team and commitment to your professional development.
