1-year fixed term, (with intention to extend, subject to funding) part-time contact – 14 hours per week

Salary Rate - £16 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

Purpose of the Role:

The Funding Coordinator is responsible for identifying appropriate funding sources, completing funding applications, supporting our charity’s compliance with any grant award conditions and writing funding reports.  

Main tasks and responsibilities of the role: 

  • Identifying appropriate funding sources, including Trusts & Foundations and statutory, corporate and community funders through grants research.  
  • Maintaining a calendar of grant application deadlines and collating required information to support funding applications in advance.  
  • Writing compelling cases for support to maximise successful grant awards. 
  • Supporting the administration of post-award grants to ensure that budgeting and administrative policies & procedures and funders requirements are being followed.   
  • Completing funding reports and sending required information to funder's to meet funder’s deadlines.  
  • Establishing and building positive relationships with appropriate local agencies and organisations. 
  • Supporting and promoting positive and effective internal and external communications. 
  • Presenting accurate reports and updates to the Board within required timescales. 
  • Representing and promoting the charity positively, including the attendance at meetings. 
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Developing a multi-year funding strategy to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
  • Understand current funding priorities, timelines and income targets.
  • Contribute ideas to improve funding efficiency and impact.

Hours of Work and Office Location:

  • 14 hours weekly, with possible evening or weekend shifts; flexibility offered for suitable candidates.
  • The role will be home-based and linked to our office in Turriff for administration purposes and attending meetings throughout Grampian 
  • The role will cover Aberdeen City & Aberdeenshire and require access to a car.
