Role Summary
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Volunteer Goalkeeping Coach to support the development of female goalkeepers aged U13 to U17 within our Girls Football Academy. The role focuses on delivering goalkeeper-specific coaching in a positive, safe and inclusive environment, supporting both individual and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate goalkeeper-specific training sessions.
- Develop technical skills including shot-stopping, handling, positioning and distribution.
- Provide constructive feedback to support individual goalkeeper development.
- Support goalkeepers during team training sessions and matchdays.
- Promote confidence, resilience, teamwork and respect.
- Ensure player safety, welfare and safeguarding at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the academy coaching team.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Relevant SFA Coaching Qualifications (or working towards)
- Strong interest in football and goalkeeper development.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and committed to regular sessions.
- Positive, encouraging coaching approach.
Desirable:
- Experience playing or coaching as a goalkeeper.
- Experience of working within female Academy environment
- Safeguarding, first aid and DBS/PVG clearance.
