Finance and Membership Administrator – Inverness Harriers

Closing Date: 11th September 2026

Salary £6,656
(8 hours per week)
3-year Fixed Term

About the Role

Inverness Harriers AAC is looking for an organised, proactive and reliable Finance and Membership Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis.

This newly created hybrid role is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the continued development of one of the Highlands’ largest athletics clubs. Working closely with the Club Committee, Treasurer, coaches and volunteers, you will support the day-to-day administration of the club, helping to ensure our financial, membership and governance processes run efficiently.

You will manage membership administration, provide bookkeeping support, coordinate communications with members, assist with committee administration and help strengthen the systems that allow our volunteers to focus on delivering high-quality athletics opportunities.

As the club continues to grow and prepares for future developments, including a transition to charitable status, you will help build strong administrative foundations that support sustainable growth and an excellent experience for our members.

This role offers flexible hybrid working, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while being part of a passionate community organisation.

Inverness Harriers

Inverness Harriers Athletic Club is a well-established and successful athletics club based in Inverness. The club has a membership of over 300 across our club catering for both adults and junior members, at all levels, from age 9 upwards.

Inverness Harriers has a significant presence within the Highland area and is involved in many open meetings, and local events, in Road, Hills, Track & Field. Inverness has also just produced its first Olympic athlete with Megan Keith competing in the 10,000 metres in Paris.

About You

You are highly organised, detail-oriented and enjoy creating efficient systems and processes. You are comfortable managing a varied workload, can prioritise competing tasks and are confident working independently while building positive relationships with volunteers, committee members and external partners.

You will have experience in administration and financial record-keeping, with strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional approach are essential, as you will often be the first point of contact for members and enquiries.

An interest in community sport or the voluntary sector would be an advantage, although previous experience within athletics is not essential. Most importantly, you will be motivated by the opportunity to make a positive contribution to a growing club and help strengthen its long-term sustainability.

If you are looking for a flexible role where your organisational and administrative skills can make a genuine difference to a thriving community sports club, we would love to hear from you.
