Disability Cricket Development Officer

Cricket Scotland is the national governing body for cricket in Scotland, dedicated to promoting and developing the sport at all levels. 

Cricket is a game that ignites excitement and passion, a sport to be enjoyed – we want increased participation and on field success in our sport to help unite people, our communities and our nation. We know that cricket is the most diverse sport in Scotland, and we are taking proactive steps to ensure that the sport is the most inclusive and welcoming.

Cricket Scotland is looking to recruit an inspirational Disability Cricket Development Officer to to deliver Lord’s Taverners disability programmes, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) programme and Super 1s, across Scotland. Through Super 1s, the officer will provide community-based cricketing opportunities, both competitive and coaching, for young people with disabilities.

Within this role, the postholder will use the power of cricket as a tool for change, increasing confidence, communication, leadership, and independence in the participants. The role will also oversee other disability initiatives including SEND delivery (table cricket & soft ball), Champion clubs and the disability pathway which directly contribute to the disability strategy of the Cricket Scotland / Lord’s Taverners partnership.

This role seeks an energetic and enthusiastic individual who has a passion for supporting and developing young people, working with multiple partners and organisations.
