£22,500 per annum
35 hours per week – work pattern will include working 1 weekend in 3 and evening work as required
This is a fixed term contract for 3 years
A Christian faith is a desired requirement due to the nature and location of the role and the faith-based weekend work.
An exciting new role has arisen for a Sport and Youth Assistant to work within the Madoch Centre (a Church Centre which is open all week) to develop youth work, train in and deliver coaching for children and young people, and assist with the sports programme.
Working within a small team and reporting to the Community Development Coordinator and Sports Outreach Worker, the successful candidate will engage and work closely with young people within the church and wider community. This role will involve: developing and supporting the current programme for church young people, building and strengthening links between church young people and those in the wider community, supporting the adult sports sessions, and taking responsibility within the coaching programme for children and young people.
Applicants should possess a relevant qualification or have previous experience in a sport, youth or community role ideally working with children and young people. You should also be committed to further self-development as support and time will be provided for you to complete sports qualifications and/or relevant youth, community or faith-based courses.
