Location: Oriam - Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre (Edinburgh)
Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent staff benefits and travel expenses for away match travel
Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week to be worked flexibly depending on team fixtures and closed periods which will involve weekend and evening work

Hearts Women are a leading Club in the SWPL, dedicated to excellence both on and off the pitch. The Club are committed to supporting and promoting Women's football and developing talent at all levels of the game. Last season, Hearts finished fourth in the top-flight and reached the Scottish Cup Final.
The Club are looking to build on this success in the 2024/25 season and have an exciting opportunity for a Goalkeeping Coach to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for a UEFA A Licensed Goalkeeping Coach with experience of working within a Professional football environment, to work with our Women’s First Team goalkeepers.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement the coaching programs for the Women’s First Team, documenting session plans prior to the delivery of training sessions and reflecting and evaluating post-session.
- Observe the Goalkeepers during matches and provide appropriate feedback.
- Assist with organizing and documenting player review meetings.
- Ensure all assigned kits are maintained appropriately.
- Ensure that all individual and team learning objectives link to the Women’s First Team Principles of Play.
- Liaise with the Women’s Team Manager and other departments, including Performance, regarding coaching programs and individual player development.
- Ensure match day responsibilities are adhered to including, Goalkeeper warmups and defensive/offensive set plays.
- Attend technical staff meetings as requested to ensure appropriate departmental communication, planning and evaluation.
Essential Criteria & Skills:
- UEFA A License or equivalent.
- Previous experience of working with First Team Goalkeepers and experience of working within a Professional Football environment.
- Currently based in Edinburgh or can reliably commute to Edinburgh and other locations as per the needs of the position.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to professional development and self- motivation.
- Demonstrate a strong team work ethic with a can-do attitude, proven professionalism, and excellent timekeeping.
- The role will require a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check by law through Disclosure Scotland and is a condition of the successful candidate’s employment.
