We are currently looking for a Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join our Communications team, who will develop and strengthen sportscotland’s relationships with politicians and other key stakeholders. 

With your excellent networking and influencing skills, you will provide counsel and advice at a senior level and be able to deliver a political engagement strategy which aims to increase awareness and understanding of sport and sportscotland, supporting politicians to take informed decisions about sport. 

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will identify upcoming policy and political changes and advise on how these might affect sportscotland, managing political correspondence, and consultation responses where relevant, using your analytical skills and presenting complex information in a simple way.  

You will provide advice on our responses to information requests from the Scottish Government, including ministerial correspondence and ministerial briefing, so you will have demonstrable knowledge of the local and national political sectors in Scotland. 

We are looking for someone degree qualified, or with equivalent relevant experience. As a strong communicator, you will be able to demonstrate an ability to build effective relationships and influence a range of stakeholders particularly at senior level.
