The Northumberland Club is seeking an outstanding head of squash to oversee the coaching and development of the sport. The Northumberland Club is the premier tennis, squash and badminton club in Newcastle, with an established presence in the North East squash community. The club also boasts links with University racket sports, is a host for PSA tournaments, and recently entered a team in the PSL.
You will be a professional squash coach, ideally qualiﬁed to at least Level 3 in order to deliver coaching at a high level. You will need signiﬁcant experience at coaching both juniors and seniors. Playing experience at a high level is desirable, as well as experience in leading the development of junior and senior club sections.
You should have a good understanding of the structure of squash nationally, and ideally have some knowledge of squash within British University College Sport as well as experience in attracting and running PSA tournaments. Excellent interpersonal and communication and interpersonal skills will be essential for this role, as you will be required to enthuse club members of a variety of ages and playing backgrounds. You must be a highly motivated individual with impeccable organisational skills, as a large part of your role will be creating and implementing the club squash structure for both juniors and seniors at our award winning club. The ideal candidate will be passionate about encouraging participation levels amongst a members club whilst driving a wide range of playing opportunities focused on our members needs.
