Falkirk Community Trust are recruiting a confident, proactive and enthusiastic gymnastics coordinator with a UKCC Level 2 gymnastics coaching qualification to join our team and play a leading role in developing our gymnastics programme across Falkirk. This will include the pre-school, development and club programme at our new purpose built training facility at Carron Gymnastics Centre together with our wider development programme, holiday programme and local school competitions.
You’ll have a fun, wide-ranging and exciting working week. This will include motivating and leading your team of gymnastics coaches and volunteers, networking with parents, centre staff and other key partners including our two partner gymnastics clubs. Experience of thinking on your feet, remaining calm under pressure and making sound judgements, with minimal supervision, is crucial to the success of this role.
You and your team will strive to deliver a positive experience to everyone involved in our gymnastics programme. To achieve this you will have to demonstrate your excellent communication skills, a wide range of leadership skills and show that you can relate to people of all ages and build relationships with them quickly.
The rest of your time will be spent coaching gymnastics- after all, that’s what your team is all about –together with working closely with the Sport Development Officers to improve the quantity and quality of the wider gymnastics programme in Falkirk.
If you are all of those things and you also like a challenge, would you like to join us to meet our ambitious plans for gymnastics in Falkirk?
The successful applicant will be employed by Falkirk Community Trust. The Trust is a charitable company set up by Falkirk Council to deliver culture, library, recreation and sport services on its behalf from 1st July 2011. You will receive excellent rates of pay, Continual Professional Development and a generous benefits package which includes free membership of our health and fitness services.
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007.
