What sport are you involved in and what is it you love about it?
I have always been involved with many different sports throughout my life, but football has always been my biggest passion. For me, I love the competitive side of the sport and also over the past few years, working with young players to help them achieve their goals and be the best version of themselves.
What motivated you to be a part of the Young People's Sports Panel?
I am motivated to be part of the Young People’s Sport Panel to have my voice heard by many people across Scotland. I am excited to have the platform to share my opinions and thoughts about sport on a national scale, to hopefully be a positive role model and make positive change to improve sport for everyone.
How do you think sport can help support young people in Scotland?
Being involved in sport throughout my life has shaped me as a person and the way I see situations. I think that sport can be a great support for young people in Scotland as it has given me a career pathway that I look forward to every day.
Is there a role model who inspires you? What is it about them you admire?
Growing up, my role model was Andy Murray. I think he’s had an incredible journey through sport with lots of ups and downs along the way which have inspired me to keep going and become the best version of myself. I am also inspired every day by my Active Schools Coordinators because of their continuous drive to get as many young people as possible involved in sport which inspires me to keep working hard to one day follow in their footsteps.
