What sport are you involved in and what is it that you love about it?
My sport is dance. I love how expressive I can be and just how free I feel when I dance. I love being part of a team and spending time with my friends at dancing.
What motivated you to be part of the Young People’s Sport Panel?
I was motivated to join the Young People’s Sport Panel to make a difference in sport throughout Scotland. I also really wanted to meet like- minded young people who share a passion for sport and build connections in the world of sport.
How do you think sport can help support young people in Scotland?
I think sport holds so many benefits for young people from all walks of life. Not just the physical health improvements, also the social and mental benefits. Sport give people an escape and a purpose whilst also building teamwork skills and communications skills.
Is there a role model who inspires you? What is it about them that you admire?
My role model is my mum. I admire her strength and resilience and her ability to light up a room. She lives to improve people’s lives and make a positive difference whilst always having a smile on her face, something I also strive to achieve.
