What sport are you involved in and what is it that you love about it?
I’m mainly involved in Taekwondo and cricket. I love the inclusive nature of crichet and the team building journey through the sport. In Taekwondo, I enjoy the development of myself in both techniques and sparring. Overall, I love the impact I can make on the younger generation towards an improved future and lifestyle.
What motivated you to be part of the Young People’s Sport Panel?
I was motivated to join the Young People's Sport Panel to apply my passion to make a difference in sport on a national scale. I value this incredible experience also as being a beneficial addition to my personal development. It is an opportunity to break down barriers for young people and provide the best possible experience for all.
How do you think sport can help support young people in Scotland?
I think sport is not just an activity it is an environment where people can feel valued and a have a chance to cooperate and develop. This opportunity is helpful for young people, building essential skills, qualities and attributes for the future.
Is there a role model who inspires you? What is it about them that you admire?
A role model for me who deeply inspires me is my mum. She is a character of great resilience and determination, through her journey in sports and as a mother. She had to face many challenges in basketball because the culture and expectations at the time. However, she still played and was a captain up a national level. She is my motivation to always stand back up if you fall and a constant motivation throughout my journey in life.
