Swimming Instructor: Swim World Swim School

Hourly rate: £16.50 an hour

Hours: Up to 5.5 hours during term time

Location: South Queensferry

As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching individuals of all ages the fundamentals of swimming, ensuring safety and promoting water confidence. Your core skills in swimming teaching will be essential in developing personalised lesson plans and fostering a positive learning environment. Your role will also involve assessing students' progress and adapting techniques to meet their needs. We are looking for reliable instructors for the swimming lessons at the venues below.

Queensferry High School, South Queensferry - Tuesdays 4:45pm-7:15pm, term time

Queensferry High School, South Queensferry - Sundays 9:45am-12:45pm, term time

Getting there:

Dalmeny train station is right next to the school, with trains from Waverley to Dalmeny only 15 minutes, and the 43 bus stops right outside the school, with buses from Princes Street to Ashburnham Road only 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging swimming lesson plans tailored to various skill levels.
  • Instruct and demonstrate proper swimming techniques and safety practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all participants.
  • Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding goals and achievements.
  • Stay updated on swimming techniques and coaching methods to enhance instruction.

What we are looking for:

  • UKCC/ASA Level 2 / STA Award/Certificate / SSTQ or equivalent
  • Previous experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Lifesaving qualification (preferred but not essential)
