Chair: British Curling

Curling is one of the most successful British Winter Olympic Sports and, with the sport having its origins in Scotland, is a sport that can lay claim to being “Scotland’s National Sport”.

British Curling is the Governing Body responsible for delivering those medal winning moments at Olympic, Paralympic, World and European Championships and in doing so we work closely with our partners at Scottish, English and Welsh Curling, UKSport and sportscotland.

British Curling has recently undertaken a fundamental review of our approach and operations and there is a vibrant team in place (new thinking balanced with experience) focused on the upcoming Winter Olympic and Paralympics in Beijing in 2022 and the World and European Championships between then and now.

We seek to appoint a new Chair person to lead the Board and work closely with the existing Board, the Executive Performance Director (a combined CEO/Performance Director role) and the staff in delivering the business strategy and success that British Curling expects. We have recently recruited three new Non Executive Directors to the Board – adding to the skills and experience the Board already has in place.

Further related information can be found on the British Curling website.

Closing date for applications is 31st Jan 2020. Provisional dates for interviews are 13th February 2020.
