Aristos Physiotherapy: Sports Massage Therapist / Injury Rehabilitation Practitioner

Aristos Physiotherapy is an independent physiotherapy clinic, situated in Stewarton within a strength and conditioning gym, Aristos Fitness. At Aristos Physiotherapy we aim to help people live an active, health, happy and pain free life through our bespoke physiotherapy and rehabilitation process. We have an experienced and dynamic team of practitioners who offer a range of programs and services; including physiotherapy, women’s health physiotherapy, massage, and physio-led injury rehab and conditioning. We also deliver training and mentoring programs / workshops for both our Aristos Physiotherapy team and external clients. 

As part of our aims to achieve excellence in these programmes and further develop additional opportunities within the clinic, we are seeking to recruit a Sports Massage Therapist / Injury Rehabilitation Practitioner to deliver sports massage therapy services within our physiotherapy clinic. The role will also include delivery into our physio-led injury rehab and conditioning program.

This position has been created for an individual who has the desire to develop as part of a holistic team of professionals and is dedicated to ongoing continued professional development.

Remuneration and Continued Professional Development:

This post is a self-employed position with variable consultation rates for different services.

The successful candidate will gain valuable experience working as part of a professional multidisciplinary team, internal CPD opportunities and financial contributions towards external CPD in line with personal development plans.

JOB DESCRIPTION

POST TITLE: Sports Massage Therapist / Injury Rehabilitation Practitioner

LOCATION: Aristos Physiotherapy, Stewarton

POST RESPONSIBLE TO: Lead Physiotherapist

CONTRACT TYPE: Self-employed

JOB PURPOSE:

To work under guidance from our Lead Physiotherapist to deliver Sports Massage Therapy services to new and existing clients of Aristos Physiotherapy. The role will also involve the delivery into our Aristos Physio-led Injury Rehab and Conditioning sessions, in conjunction with our Aristos Physiotherapy Team.

To develop oneself as a Sports Massage Therapist / Rehabilitation Practitioner, and progress within the role to gain the knowledge, skills, and experience to potentially gain full-time employment within Aristos Physiotherapy. Therapists will be provided with practical training and experiences to assist in their development. Therapists will be expected to actively engage in a programme of continued professional development (CPD).

The successful candidate may have the opportunity to undertake further opportunities long term within Aristos Physiotherapy and Aristos Fitness (with appropriate additional qualifications and certifications).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. With guidance from the Lead Physiotherapist, deliver Sports Therapy / Sports Massage Therapy services to new and existing clients of Aristos Physiotherapy.
  1. Ensure client case notes are updated within the guidelines of the relevant governing bodies and Aristos Physiotherapy.
  1. Manage client caseload effectively within the guidelines as outlined by the Lead Physiotherapist.
  1. Use the clinic software provided by Aristos Physiotherapy to manage all bookings and payments.
  1. Have direct communication with other members of our multi-disciplinary team regarding the implementation of injury prevention / rehabilitation strategies and the development of a coordinated support system for clients.
  1. Assist with the delivery of the Physio-led Injury Rehab and Conditioning classes in conjunction with our Aristos Physiotherapy team.
  1. Work efficiently under the mentorship of the Lead Physiotherapist to work towards an agreed programme of CPD.
  1. Maintain regular communication with other coaches and staff.
  1. Be proactive with daily clinic and facility maintenance duties.
  1. Wear staff clothing provided when on shift and uphold the values and behaviours of Aristos Physiotherapy at all times.
