Role: Junior Academy and Next Gen Support Coach
Reports to: Academy Manager and Head of Player Development
Hours: 9 hours per week (3 nights per week and one weekend match day)
Salary: £15 per hour
Contract: Self-Employed
Qualification: Minimum UEFA C
Glasgow City Football Club is Scotland's most successful women's football club. Established in 1998, it has secured unprecedented success in Scotland, as well as reaching the last eight of the European Champions League on two occasions over the last six years. Glasgow City Foundation was established by the Club's founders in 2015 as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO). The Foundation is a distinct legal entity (SC045450), separate from - but closely associated - with the Club. An exciting opportunity has arisen for multiple experienced coaches who have previous experience within youth football in Scotland. The individuals must be passionate about developing young talented players.
The successful candidates will initially work with our Junior Academy as well as one night per week with one of our Next Gen squads, collaborating with our Academy Manager and Head of Player Development as well as other Academy coaches to create a positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the assigned age group at both training and matches, ensuring they play in line with the Glasgow City Game Model
- Ensure that all individual and team learning objectives link to the Game Model and our position specific attributes.
- Responsible for implementing coaching programmes for young players, documenting session plans prior to the delivery of training sessions and post session reflection and evaluations.
- Liaise with Academy Manager and Head of Player Development and other coaches/staff within the Academy regarding individual player development which includes Medical, Goalkeeping, Analysis and Sport Science staff.
- Responsible for providing constructive specific feedback that is both formal and informal to the young players and parents/carers, in line with the Academy Strategy. • Create a positive environment for player development.
- Assist in any other related duties that may be required by the Glasgow City Foundation Essential Qualifications & Experience: • UEFA C Licence • Legal right to work in the UK
- Valid UK Driving Licence Desirable
- UEFA B Licence
- Previous experience in the Girl's and Women's game in Scotland
- Valid UK Driving Licence

The role will have regular contact with children, and it is therefore required by law to have a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check through Disclosure Scotland as a condition of employment.
