1st XV Club- Head Coach: Boroughmuir Rugby

Boroughmuir Rugby has always been a forward thinking, innovative club. Established in 1919 as an FP club, it is now at the centre and forefront of a multi sports community hub based at Meggetland in Edinburgh; a hub which includes football, hockey, cricket, american football, kayaking and rowing.

We’re breaking new ground in many ways, in 2012 we became Boroughmuir Rugby and Community Sports Club, a registered charity. We now have a community café, commercial kitchen and bar which is open 7 days a week. Everyone is welcome to either join us or to visit.

In 2016, we developed plans for the Boroughmuir Youth Academy, with its inaugural season in 2017-18. This has been spectacularly successful and we now run the top Scottish Club Youth section with 500 kids, producing age group players for regional and national teams. These players are now graduating into our senior club teams.

An exciting opportunity has just arisen within our club’s senior coaching structure. We are looking for a Head coach who will play a vital role in ensuring our 1st XV are re-established at the top level of the amateur club game in Scotland. We have a strong coaching structure at Boroughmuir which gives the successful candidate opportunities to learn and develop from our Super 6 coaches and experience the inner workings of a part time professional environment.

Applications in the form of a CV and covering letter should be submitted to Graeme Blackhall, Head of Rugby, Graeme.blackhall@sky.com. Please outline your relevant skills and experience for the post.

Closing Date: 27th May 2022 at 5pm.
