The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sport Competition Manager – Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting to join our Sport team at Glasgow 2026. This is your chance to lead the integrated delivery of two powerful and inspiring sports, helping to provide the stage for world-class strength, resilience, and competition.
As Sport Competition Manager – Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting, you will take charge of the full planning and operational delivery of these competitions. You’ll work closely with the International Federations, National Governing Bodies, Commonwealth Sport, and internal Functional Areas to ensure the seamless execution of both events.
From venue planning and Field of Play setup to scheduling, equipment provision, and workforce coordination, your leadership will ensure these events reflect the highest standards of technical excellence, inclusion, and athlete-first delivery.
