Shettleston Football and Athletic Club: Volunteers

Shettleston Football and Athletic Club located in the East End of Glasgow is looking for volunteers with a range of skills to join the club. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, motivated and keen to support the Club in its new chapter in the SPFL pyramid structure

We are specifically looking for volunteers to support the operational day to day running of the club in the following positions:

Groundsperson

Ideally candidates should have some previous experience of keeping greens or be a keen recreational gardener willing to learn new skills and be able to commit around 6 hours per week to help keep the pitch in good condition. 

Matchday* Gate Co-ordinators x 2

We require mathchday gate co-ordinators to ensure the smooth running of the gate on match days.  This role involves taking payment from supporters, issuing tickets, banking cash with club officials and ensuring the accurate recording of match attendances.

No experience is required for this role, although we are looking for candidates who are reliable, trustworthy, friendly and confident in cash handling.

Matchday* hospitality and event  co-ordinators

Matchday and events co-ordinators are required to support the club grow hospitality and events on matchdays as well as throughout the year.  This role would ideally suit events students looking for practical experience and the chance to support the development of a hospitality and events strategy for the club to grow income and sponsorship.

Matchday* photographer

Ideally candidates should have some experience of photographing sports, however a keen recreational photographer will also be considered for this role. Candidates must have their own camera and editing software.

Matchday* Videographer / Match Analyst

Candidates will be required to set up sports camera, download matches and support coaches with analysing and editing. (Equipment will be provided). This role would ideally suit students looking for practical experience.

*Match day roles require candidates to be available for around 3 hours (generally every second Saturday afternoon throughout the season Aug – May)
