Sessional Dance instructor

Please see the information attached regarding a new coaching post with Girvan Community Sport Hub. Please note this post will be on a casual/sessional basis, so hours will be given on an as of and when required basis.

Girvan Community Sport Hub are delighted to seek session dance instructors to take the lead on delivering sessions in our ongoing Dance programme. The post holder will work closely with, assist, and take direction from Girvan Community Sport Hub Project Manager and Project Coordinator(s).

The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team. The overall purpose of the role is to:

To lead and assist on the development of community dance sessions in Girvan and the surrounding areas. This role will primarily involve work in a community setting but may involve some school based work from time to time as well as delivering online dance sessions when working from home is required. It will involve work during the daytime and during evenings. The availability and pattern of work will be determined by the requirements of Girvan Community Sport Hub and may vary over time.

Essential requirements of the post include holding a dance leader qualification (or equivalent) OR  level 1 sports governing body qualification with relevant dance experience.The  successful candidate should be able to plan, prepare and deliver detailed coaching plans for all sessions.
