Rugby Development Officer: Perthshire Rugby Football Club

Employment Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £28,500 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Fixed term to 31 May 2028, with potential extension in line with Scottish Rugby’s funding cycle
Reports To: President / Chair, Perthshire Community Rugby Trust

Purpose of the Role

Perthshire RFC is an inclusive and ambitious community rugby club seeking a proactive and driven Rugby Development Officer to lead, shape, and deliver sustainable rugby development initiatives across the region.

The role focuses on the following priorities:

  • Growing both boys’ and girls’ youth rugby within the club

  • Maintaining and enhancing development across key secondary schools, associated primary schools, and wider community programmes to maximise player transition into the club

  • Working collaboratively with the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU)

  • Providing young people with opportunities to develop skills, confidence, and positive lifelong habits through rugby

The postholder will play a key role in nurturing teamwork, leadership, and long-term player development across the Perthshire rugby community.
