Job Description

As our Physical Activity Instructor you will support the delivery of the Inclusion through Activity Programme. Our Inclusion through Activity Programme is a fully funded project from the Changing Lives through Sport and Physical Activity Fund delivered by Spirit 2012 in partnership with The Robertson Trust, Scottish Government and sportscotland. Working across communities and facilities in Stirling you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality person-centred referral service to support individuals affected by alcohol and drug use to access, inclusive and appropriate physical activity opportunities.

Requirements

Working as part of a team to motivate and positively engage with others is essential within this role. Candidates should have relevant qualifications in sport and physical activity including a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification. Experience of supporting those facing barriers to participation is required along with experience of delivering high quality exercise and physical activity sessions.

Responsibilities

To be responsible for the support and mentoring of individuals referred to the Inclusion through Activity Programme. To help encourage uptake of physical activity opportunities in the community. You will be required to undertake a variety of tasks including supporting the adherence and delivery of individual physical activity programmes, delivery of classes and supporting the link into wider community opportunities.
