Performance Analyst: University of St Andrews - Saints Sport

CG1733GB

Salary: £23,487 - £27,116 per annum, pro rata

In line with the growth and success of performance sport at The University of St Andrews, we are seeking to appoint a qualified, experienced, and highly motivated Performance Analyst on a half time basis.

The Performance programme within Saints Sport at The University of St Andrews currently consists of 14 performance programmes and individually supported scholars. The Performance Analyst would work within the performance team to help enhance the student experience and ultimately improve individual and team performances and results. You will work closely with 7 permanently contracted sport specific directors and a number of performance coaches, plus our Strength and Conditioning team.

Many of our top teams compete at BUCS Premier League level and most in the top tier within Scotland. We aspire to increase the number of teams competing at the highest level of British student sport, with the aim of winning titles. Numerous sports also compete in national competition out with the BUCS/SSS structure to help give our students the most extensive and challenging experience possible. We have identified performance analysis as a key aspect to achieving this goal and have invested in infrastructure over recent years to reflect this. We are able to capture footage from training and matches from numerous cameras positioned around our facilities. These are complimented with mobile cameras for specific teams.

Further information and informal enquiries may be directed to Ian Gaunt, Deputy Director of Sport email: ig21@st-andrews.ac.uk.

Applications are particularly welcome from women, people from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community, and other protected characteristics who are under-represented in professional posts at the University.

Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of the St Andrews experience.  We strive to create a fair and inclusive culture demonstrated through our commitment to diversity awards (Athena Swan, Carer Positive, LGBT Charter, Race Charters and Stonewall). We celebrate diversity by promoting profiles of BAME, LGBTIQ+ staff and supporting networks including the Staff BAME Network; Staff with Disabilities Network; Staff LGBTIQ+ Network; and the Staff Parents & Carers Network.
